just a quick Q
if I have ODST and am playing matchmaking will I be able to join a friends party who is playing Halo 3
or are the servers different
I thought that the ODST multiplayer was just Halo 3 multiplayer with more maps and better graphics
is that true?

I only bought odst for the map disk and the achievements. If your talking about playing on the map disk and friends who have the regular halo 3 disk you can play with them. Its the same server.

yes from what i have heard. ya we too are getting the special reach xbox elite. as to the character i have the mask you can only get for beating it on legendary so i dont think reach will have that one, they will probably have a different one.

I don't know what helmet your talking about since I have em all except recon. But, I know you can't transfer them.

Halo was fun for ridiculous games like super fast infection and screwing around with friends but i cant take it seriously as a shooter. COd i love the fact that there are so many different weapons. Also how you can have different styles of how you play.

Halo for me. COD older series were cool as they replayed actual events but MW and MW2 are just boring. If I'm gunna play a Modern Warfare game I'm going to play Battlefield: Bad Company 1 and 2. They are just so much more fun than COD it's ridiculous!

But back to Halo.... I am just a die hard fan ever since the series started. The attention to the story and plots/history of all events and characters is just phenominal. Multiplayer gets a bit ridiculous but if you get good games then it is fun.

IMO DON'T BUY COD for "real warfare" BUY BAD COMPANY!!

I like both. I too love Halo's story which puts it above COD but some of the COD games have a good story line too. When I get annoyed with one game I usually move to the other. Right now I am annoyed with COD MW2 so I switch back to Halo 3. But thats mainly to get pumped for Reach.

COD on PS3, Halo used to be one of my favorite games, but Ive grown to like the more realistic type shooter games than the fantasy ones. shooting some1 through the wall with a glock is much more realistic to me than having my beam rifle shots deflected by a deployable force field. Just personal preference. And Id prefer to play it on ps3 because its free to play.

Also, with COD if Treyarch makes the COD game it turns out horrible. I have low expectations for Black Ops as it's just going to be Treyarchs version of Infinity Ward's MW games. The only thing Treyarch has ever done good is Nazi Zombies.

i agree... i only like playing halo when its splitscreen with friends.

I wish the helmets transferred. I want my recon to follow me. Hopefully in Reach they continue with vidmaster challenges and add something new.
