What is a sure way to distinguish between the Zebra Obliquiden and the Haplochromis redtail? .I recently Purcharsed an alleged "Zebra Obliquidens". A male with nice gold and red coloring. However I am aware The redtails and Obliques are often mislabelled. From what I've seen both species look almost indistinguishable, In my opinion. Any obvious way to tell the difference? I will post pictures shortly.

They are actually quite different looking. Once you know what you are looking for. They are very easy to tell apart.

100% Hap 44.

I have him with peacocks and a hap ahli..he is the smallest fish but holds his own very well..Will the hap sp. 44 become too aggressive once he is bigger?

call me a dork, but I bring my ad konings books in the car when I go fish shopping, that way I don't get "tricked"

It really depends on that fish's disposition. Generally speaking, he could very well take over that tank quickly.
