Im setting up my 150-250g pond sunday and want to get my fish moved in asap before winter gets here. Im building a pond filter from a 20 gallon plastic tub filled with poultry net. I found this pump for pretty cheap from harbor freight. The majority of people said these pumps worked amazingly well for something from Harbor Freight but a few people have had issue with them. Its 90 watts so should cost 6-7 bucks per month to run. I plan to run a fountain, filter and water fall from it. What experiences have you had with harbor freight pumps.

im not sure what type of pump youre talking about they have a couple of pumps for aquariums I have one and it works pretty well now if youre talking about one of the bigger pumps with a float that actuates the pump Id advise against it these arent made to be run constantly although they do pump alot of water theyll break down after about 3 months

Srry guys I had a link but I forgot to post it, it's a submersible pump rated for 1258 fog and is on sale for thirty bucks, I'll link later because im on my phone right now.

I think the majority of the stuff sold there is made in china.
If its up to me, I spent a little more money and get a more reliable pump from an aquarium store.
What you save now, might end up spending more in the long run.

Harbor freight is rediculous cheap
However, I've never had quality problems with anything I've purchased

The only thing I've ever bought there were hand tools I'm probably only gonna use once or twice, or something I'm gonna loose fairly quickly and based on from what I've purchased they haven't changed my opinion.
