the scientific name is Sciaenops ocellatus i am curious if anyone else thought about atleast trying to keep one in an aquarium before or even tried or this fish too micropogonias undulatus
The red drum is an aquacultured species so it stands to reason that a proper aquarium setup will work for this species. The tank size would have to be large since this species reaches the 8lb mark at 3 years of age and 10 times that weight before they're done growing.
yeah i know the tank would be huge i think the biggest one i ever caught was about 3ft maybe a little bigger. i was curious to see if anyone else had the same idea
