Have you ever considered internal filters? My Fluval U4 review

So I needed to do an internal filter on my new tank for a number of reasons. 1. the tank sat near the floor, so no canister and 2. there was no room above the tank to reach and service HOBs (Hang on back). So I went with the Fluval U4. Check out my review:

Actually you can use a canister if the filter input is at least 6 inches below the surface, I use a EHEIM 2217 sitting on the floor next to a 55 gal tank also sitting on floor , Just try it!
