I'm looking for a heating solution for my pond. I will have the quiet one 9000 pump and I'm not sure how much heat that generates, but I have been told by a few people that two 500 watters would suffice.

Hey dhjr0915- that was going to be my reply to.My pump have always kept the temp above 80.I have a 15,000 gallon tank and no heaters and it stays above 80 with a 1.5 hp pool pump.
You've just confirmed what I've always suspected--that my big pump was contributing to heating my tank and allowing me to get by with just one little heater.

I use 3 visi therm 300watt heaters on my 750g. Spring and summer they are off because the pumps keep the water at around 84. I turned them back on last week for the winter.

Here are a few pics of my 150 gallon done on the same kind of heat exchanger system.
I like. Some serious clean soldiering. Bet it'll work on large tanks.

That is nice, wow, wish i had gas, but elect it is.
I think I will jsut try a 1000watt titantium, and between the UV and the Reeflo dart, I am thinking will keep the temps up were needed.
