:) yeah these guys are cute in their own way. Not much info about care or breeding them on the net though. :(

i was considering putting them into my pond when they are fully grown and hope they breed like my tilapia fishes. :)

I kept marbled gobys for almost 20 years now these fish will grow fast and very large if properly cared for. i have a breeding pair with a 16 inch male and a 9-10 inch female. also have a few young growouts one has made it 8 1/2 inches from less than 2 inches in about six months gravel doesent matter but these fish thrive in tanks with lots of wood rockwork and caves. they will eat anything that will fit in there mouths and defend there caves against any fish. also have spotted sleeper gobys jade sleeper gobys and purple spot gudgeons all from the eleotridae or sleeper family. i have lost lots of fish to my gobys pm me a number and i can send you video of my pair. lost a jeff rapps dorado and a shortnose gar to my female spotted sleeper and i was pissed but thats the risk you run with these fish. i feed large goldfish and rosey reds that i feed heavily for a week or so cichlid fry that i raise from my pairs, crayfish ,earthworms, tilapia fillets live and frozen shrimp and small crabs. hope this helps steve

Hi Steve!

Thanks alot for that! How do u tell the genders apart? I have 4 right now, but they are probably too small to breed. They eat the guppies that I fish up from my pond or shrimp that I cut up for them.

I made the aquarium really rocky and and stacked up some rocks to form a cave. Currently only the 2 bigger ones are occupying the big tank, I transferred the smaller 1 inch ones into a 2 foot tank.

Do u have msn or something? If u do maybe I can add u so u can send the video to me? Thanks so much!

Regina

Does anyone else have success breeding these fishes or any other tips for raising them? I have noticed they seem to chase each other around alot, and one of them turned a darker shade then the other. Is it a sign of being submissive? Because the darker shade one was the one being chased around.

I have two in the 11 to 13 inch range I have raised since they were 2 inches. When they are small in my experince they are very prone to fungal infections but once you get them to 4 inch mark they are very hardy. To put size and wieght on them fast I feed mine bit size pieces of night crawelers and frozen shrimp and silversides .when they are young they need to eat nearly ther own weight in food every day. Best of luck!

Hi Polaric.. I got mine at Clementi. At a shop they call C328. This is the address, Blk 328, Clementi Ave 2 Singapore 120328 Tel: 6777 8468. You can try looking there. Hope this helps.

i have a few, really cool fish, slow growing. I find them to be quite an angry fish. Mine does not like sharing his tank and often shoves around my senegals. Only pushes them around with his head though, never bites anything other than food. I use a sandy substrate which seems to dull his color but he likes to bury himself in the sand. He has taken every type of food offered to him that lands near him
