Nice. Do both fish get the spots? Or is that based on sex?

Only males get the spots
The one with no spots is my big female

Update on my 3 notatus
2 biggest ones for sure seem to hit it off and are constantly looking for a spot and they turning dark might see some eggs soon they are getting feisty
