Hello!
Have lurked here for a little; much of this site doesn't apply to me given that I'm a nano-tank enthusiast, but there seems to be a niche for tiny fish with monster qualities. Wanted to add a bit to the mini monster thread since I saw some fish that should absolutely be there, so finally made an account!
I mostly work with terrestrial inverts, but spent a while dipping my toes into aquarium keeping with some small invert tanks, and I'm finally starting my first tank with actual fish! A 55 gallon that will be full of the tiniest fish with the biggest energies. 55 gal isn't really a nano tank anymore but I like to think it's spiritually a nano tank. I want it to look like you took a 1kgal tank and shrunk it down. Small plecos and cats, CDPs, badis, halfbeaks, and any other oddballs that look like they should be a lot bigger than they are (alongside some rasbora schools). A detailed scape with "bonsai" trees and plants with small leaves. Still very early in putting it together, but hope to get it cycling within the next week if I can get everything else I need!
