HOB Overflow box designs!

I made a few using the above, large baggers. Easy to modify one of the units hanging lips so the "skimmer" will nest with the overflow on the tanks rim.
Pretty brittle plastic so cutting "teeth" for the skimmer was a chore.
Add PVC electrical counduit fittings for bulkheads, with rubber gaskets. I used 1 1/4" fittings on one, but most are 1/12".

I used 2, of the above, tubes per overflow, but you could use PVC in place of these.
These units flow into rubbermaid tubs with 3 drawer, sterlite units as media holders. Again, very cheaply put together.
Very easy to put together, but more importantly, they work like a champ.

Ive already built a pvc one and it gurgles, I don't like the way they function or look in the tank.
