I imagine that you are one of the few private hobbyists that can keep these beasts.

They have very neat looking eyes. They way they are set on the head is very unique.

I am still working on breeding those darn histrix of mine. They are making me crazy.

Brachyura rays are from Brazil and so by definition yours will be and illegal. Pity

They are hard to keep and do grow to be GIANTS

I was thinking exactly the same thing. Not only are they illegal, but unless you have a 25m 10m spare pond lying around it will grow too big even for your huge tanks.

This ray is coming from argentine and there not only found in brazil, also found in argentine,paraguay and urugauy http://www.cites.org/common/com/ac/20/E20-inf-08.pdf . In next month or so will be building a 12x25 pond for rays at my facility. If it needs a bigger home it will get one thanks. Research before say smuggled thanks Mike.

As soon as i can find a mate and allready have been trying i will get one and hopefully one day breed, I heard there gestation period is 22 weeks thats long time. Sorry for correction just dont want to be associated with any smuggled rays and trust me i have passed on alot of leo pups from here in the states for suspicion smuggling.

Thats o.k i'm just glad that you aren't just some sort of dogy smuggler. Do we really need to be taking rays from the wild. maybe not the type that you are getting but retics,motoros,tiger rays,flower rays. Cause the countries that haven't been banned will, if we keep on taking rays from the wild. I just want to say be paitient with tiger rays and flower rays and not to get them from the wild as i'm sure csx4236 is going to breed them and so is Nico.
