Along with the blowtorch method, could you not also run some sandpaper along the edges, keeping your fingers away from the edge to clean them up?
While moving the tank, i cut the DoOdOo out of my finger on some broken glass...

moral of the story is- i took all the glass out and it was properly recycled. BUT NO FISH WERE HARMED by the glass (well maybe one but it coulda been another fish that did it) only my poor finger.
So ill go with yous guyses advise and make a big decor nextime out of smoothedge bottles that are silicon'd together for easier removal/installation.

sorry you cut your hand! those just wouldnt work in my tank, my fish are constantly moving sand and decor and would just cut themselves on the edges.. i would worry too much about them.
