Your turtle should be okay with those bricks without the tape on them.

Why not just keep the water level right at the surface of the brick top.The turtle wouldn't need a ramp.

I thought, from my research, that turtles need to be able to completely get out of the water so no fungus and whatnot will grow on them.

I can't speak on that one as I don't know if that is true or not.I can say that most baskers I've seen were completely out the water so you may be onto something there.

yeah to be safe ill put the water right at the egde of the bricks and if any gets on the top of the bricks, the heat lamp should evaporate it. im excited now lol
