If you want decent growth out of your fish, get them out of that death trap and into a 20G+ tank. Anyone who claims they can get 1" convicts in 1 month is BS'ing. These fish only grow 5-6" so are not renound for thier speed.

I only have one convict (male) left in my tank and he is making a great dither. Convicts make great dithers for a lot of new world cichlids.
