chefjamesscott, how old were you? i pitched until i was 19 and didn't wear a cup, i figured if something was coming at "them" i'd want to protect it at all cause and catch it.

Now I gots a nutshot story to share about what I did to someone one time totally by mistake.
So when moxies moved their first restaurant into Regina, I was the Assistant Kitchen Manager. One thing we would do in the kitchen was to have line towel snapping fights.
You know what they say about it all being fun till someone loses an eye. Well, I can break cardboard with a dishtowel when I snap it.
So one particular Friday night after we got done getting swamped and feeding a 4 time turn over of the dining room, my line guys bring out the towels and go to town. So I snuck into my office and made a rat tail and came out gunning. One particular shot that I took at my fry guy's mid upper leg actually went to the totally wrong spot because he crunched up and dropped down a bit thinking to avoid the hit. I was aiming at his right leg and he moved over to his right about 4 inches and I hit him dead center in the soft spot.
I am laughing so hard as I type this because I can still see the look on his face as he went white in the face and slowly dropped to his knees. Thankfullly there was nothing perm done by the snap. I felt so bad that I made it up to him by giving him gravy work for the next week and making sure he was not thirsty for a few days.

I usually don't tell people about this but when I was in kindergarten, I got kicked there for the first time ever. Some kid in cowboy boots, and I don't even remember why. Anyway, they literally turned PURPLE for about a week and I didn't even go home and tell my mom and dad cause I was too embarrassed. 
Makes me sick thinking about it again. Took an accidental full-force kick from girlfriend showing me what she learned in self-defense class. The trauma developed into epididymitis because of already being treated for a viral infection. The epididymitis developed into testicular torsion which required emergency surgery to have the twisted testicle manually rotated back to normal position to prevent 'loss' due to lack of bloodflow (kinked blood vessels). Not my favorite week by a long shot.
