How long after a water change before turning filters back on?

I never turn mine off during a water change.
 
i turn mine off, just cause i think running it dry shortens the filter's life. thats just me though.

and i haven't added any kind dechlorinator to my water... ever.

Never turn off my FX5

I actually use the FX5 to do my water changes :D
 
I usually do about a 33% WC, and I usually will do some gravel cleaning as I siphon. I leave the filters on the whole time. Once the water is out, I stir up the gravel a little and let the filters really work on the smaller water volume for about 20 min. Then refilll and treat with conditioner.
