Hey there,
A black Rhom is my dream fish but I don’t have the room for a 125 gallon…yet.
I do have room for this tank though,

It’s a 55 gallon tank, it is pretty short (only 27 inches) but has a nice width (19 inches).
So my question is : if I was to get a baby rhombeus, 3 inches, how long would it be before it would outgrow the tank ?
I read quite a lot of threads and seems like they are quite static fish, maybe the 27 inch length would not be a problem for a few years ?
I feel like the 19’’ width is great, but need some feedback from Rhom owners on how much does this species swim and if you think that given the short growth after the 6” mark, it would be fine in there for a few years or not
Thanks to whoever will reply !

You have time the Rhom will grow slow. The slowest growing Piranha species.

Yep I know. Still, length in this tank is very short, i wonder if it still is enough for a couple years thanks to the above average width or if it’s a risk to hinder growth of the fish

Especially considering if the fish is a pretty static one, but I’m not sure if this is a creterion that would help me evaluating the purchase of this short tank
