apparently the live food bloodworm is larvae, but there are marine bloodworms that are bait worms reaching a staggering 12 inches from head to head...we cant tell.

You just reminded me. I did see a couple of those at almost 18 inches I think. I can barely remember the length but it's on that mark or close to it. I just release them in the garden as I dreaded the idea to chop them for my fish.

These Gippsies grow to 3m / 10ft and 3/4 to 1 inch diameter.
I don't have that much room in my freezer.....they are 20cm long when they hatch.

Hmmm...I occasionally get earthworm-like worms in with my live blackworms...if they were regular old earthworms I could use them for composting...watcha think?

Couldn't hurt to give it a try. The worms used for composting over here are called TIGER WORMS and munch their way thru the food scraps faster....
