Hey everyone, so I have had this ray for about a month now, he was sold to me as a Colombian teacup ray altho im not to sure how accurate that is. ( link below is a picture of him) So he's housed in my 110G tank which gets about 8 hours of light a day from 3-11 at night, sand bottom that he shares with a needle nose gar that is scared ****less of him and a couple little red finned sharks.
The problem is i've tried feeding him everything I can ge a hold of and I dont think he is eating anything! He's got that little dent in his forehead and I have yet to see him eat. I put in about 40 ghost shrimp a while ago, never actually saw him eat any yet, altho the levels of shrimp are lower im not sure he's the one eating them. I have seen the gar pick them up from the bottom and eat some. I've tried frozen blood worms, small meal worms, butter worms, cut up red wrigglers or night crawlers and all he does is coast over them, maybe stop on top for a while then keep going.
My question is, how long can these guys go without eating?
And, how can I put some wieght on his little bones??
Thanks and here's his pic:

do small waterchanges every day... all u can do is keep the water prestine and hope he comes around

alright well any ideas on how to them to eat?

make sure you have good water like they said it helps alot. also try offering live blackworms. and also maybe throw some in there after you turn the lights off and good luck

ive had my motoros since they were pups and sometimes they go without food for over a week. no problems wotsoever so long as their healthy and have been fed will before hand. in fact i think its healthy for them and better than overfeeding them.

okay, problem is that there having troubles getting live black worms into canada, some sort of border problems, all the pet stores dont have any, is there anything else i can feed?
