I have a Marineland Magnum 350 that my father bought used 12 years ago. It is powering a Reverse Undergravel Filter in my 55 just fine. 12 years of constant use plus whatever its previous owner did to it and its as good as new.
I have two eheim pro 2 from when I first started fish keeping. The impeller cracked on one when it ran dry during a vacation, replaced impeller still runs. The other one has had not part replacements. Got them 22 years ago. Yes they are as expensive as all frag more so back then but so far nothing has even come close.
I have all Marineland, my Magnum HOT with biowheel is over 20 years old as is my Emperor 200 and my Marineland canister filter is over 10 years old. All are running silently and smoothly (except for a recent issue I had with the Emperor's spray bar I described in another thread, Revitalizing An Old Filter, guess I should have posted it here).
Eheim cannister filter. Have had it since 2004. This filter went through 20ft of water in Katrina and our most recent hurricane last year 5 ft of water while in storage. Recently I've hooked it up and it works just fine!! Have it on an aquaponics system now. I just can' belive after ALL of the electronic components were flooded with saltwater twice that it has lasted so long. Very impressed!
My Second Nature Whisper 3, which is the Whisper 60 now has been running since I got my original tank in 1994 is still running in my current tank. I've only had to replace the impeller.
I have a HOT Magnum (discontinued) running for over ten years. I had one before that busted at some point but it at least lasted 5+ years.
I bought my 125g All glass Aquarium in 1997 and it's still running with the original silicone. I moved it once a year after I bought it. Sadly they don't exist as a separate company anymore. I didn't look up the details but I heard they make Aqueon tanks now?
