I am leaving for Mexico Friday and will not be back home until next Sunday. Will my fish be ok? I have two big angels that actually I think are a pair since they just laid eggs yesterday, 5 two inch clown loaches, a female betta, and some other tetras. Can my fish survive? I might be able to have someone come and feed them half way though, but even then, do you think they will be ok???

Have someone come and feed them on Wednesday, then maybe again on Saturday, should be alright though...;). You could put in one of those weekend feeders that is a block that slowly dissolves...most of your fish should pick at it and get some nourishment! Walmart normally sells them!

In the past I have gone away for 7 to 10 days and my fish have done fine without food. Feed well for a week or so before you leave and everything should be ok. I don't trust anyone not into fish with feeding.

I usually feed my fish well all the time. I feed them a couple times a day. I think I will feed them with frozen brine the morning I leave, and then later in the day give them some flake a couple times. That should do it right?

Thats pretty much what I do.

When I travel on business, I do the water change thing before I go, then put food in one of those persription pill reminder containers. (MTWTFSS) One for each tank. Then the person in charge does not have to remember which food - how much - how often. Works with even the dimest light bulb.
