How many mbuna cichlids would you stock in a 75?

Filtration is a Fluval 305 and a 406 with a Fluval U3.
There is also lot of lace rock.

buy a breeding harem...

get a single species 1m and 6f

or do a mixed mbuna tank

and do 10-12
must be overfiltered and must do waterchanges weekly

runko buddy its a 75 gallon you can do more than 10-12 lol even at 15-20 filter just needs to be average :P

Full grown, you'd probably be good with 20-25. That being said, you can easily house 40 juvies in there as a temporary growout tank. I currently have 17, 1.5 year old fish in my 75 (I had 35 up until yesterday when I sold all the "babies", 6 month old)

75 is still small imho... 20 full sized mbuna 6 inches on average... nets 120 inches on fish... i believe in overstocking but not almost double.. my 200 has 25 full grown.. and i consider it stocked to the max.. jmo

^^
Not for adult fish, even dwarf species.

Everyone knows the "inches per gallon" rule is just as flawed as "watts per gallon"... they're general guidelines that don't always apply properly to every situation. Now, I'm not about loading my tanks up to the max, but 25 6" mbuna in a 200 gallon seems rather on the empty side. I have 17 5"+ mbuna in my 75 and on average I can only see about 6 of them at any given time.
