How to avoid killing these small cherry shrimps?

I have live black worm that consume the detritus completely filling the substrate so I don’t mess with it.

That sounds pretty cool. What substrate do you use? Awesome tank by the way!!!

I did the same with this little shrimp tank too now. Similar style but with a few crypts
