i use one 10 gallon with 5 large mature females (almost 3 inches for the largest)..and two males heavily planted, and over filtered, i get about 90 fry per female and i do not remove them..i would say about 20% might get eaten no more....i scoop them out when they are about 1/4 inch...(3 weeks ish) dump them in to a 5 gallon grow out till 1/2 (another 2-3 weeks) and them dump them all in to my planted sculpin tank..where some are demolished early..while others live and grow for a few weeks.

not much more u need to know just stay on top of ur water changes, 50% a week in a breeding tank will make it healthy and the fry grow faster, and feed frequently but in small amounts and u should be set

Seriously, what type of fish? Convicts, guppies, mollies

IMO Covicts are fun and very easy to breed. I've had mine for around 2 months and have had 2 successful batches. The first is about a month old and getting pretty close to 1/2 inch already. Best bet is to get a breeding pair rather than getting a bunch and waiting until they pair up.

Just give them a cave or flat surface to lay eggs.

I had been only feeding live occasionally but I might have to start throwing in fry earlier because I don't have the space for more babies.

the easiest feeders i have found to breed would be rosie reds also known as fat head minnows to breed them you have to start by sexing them the males will have a fatty cushion on their head and females will be more slender just start with two males and four females in a ten gallon with some caves for them to breed in whenever they lay eggs just take the cave out and put it in a tank with an airator to keep algae and stuff off the eggs and the minnows will keep breeding instead of watching the eggs you will have tons of feeders in no time

rosies thiaminize, which will cause a deficiency of vitamin b in your fish and cause disease

Haha! Breeding and raising goldfish is way to intensive to be worth growing them for feeders. I recommend going the livebearer route.
