i live in Aurora, but i fish everywhere i just fished jackson and got some nice wipers, thinking about heading to john martin...are you talking about fish explorer? i usually catch shad and fish with those but walleye dont seem too fond of them, im a big time wiper/white bass fisher and starting to get into some walleye.

I also live in Aurora. The website I was talking about is coloradofisherman.com. I am a member of both sites, but I prefer coloradofisherman. My name is shutupandfish on both sites. The fish in my avatar is a 32" 18lbs wiper I caught at atown a few years back. I usually just fish for anything I can catch on a flyrod, but wiper are one fish I still need to catch on a fly (caught plenty of white bass though.)

I will pm you with some places to catch minnows around town. I would post them, but with nearly 70,000 members on this site, people are bound to see this and they are just small creeks and ponds that can't handle a bunch of people netting fish out of them.

Are you seriously suggesting using non-native fish to fish for native fish. It is behaviors like this that release exotics into water ways and cause invasive species problems. No wonder there is such a push to ban all non native fish from the fish trade.

Please, I beg of you, DO NOT DO THIS. And for the love of all things natural stop encouraging others to do this.
A.) its against the law.
B.) HOLY COW, IS THIS A BAD IDEA

One can hope, right?

sorry i thought that they would die off in the winter since they cant live in cold water and i planed on killing any fish that i wouldnt use but yea i gues ur right never tried it and thanks from stoping me from it lol damn i feel smart

haha i wasnt gonna use and chiclids for fishing anyways that just sounds weird to me. i dont think rosies are natives to colorado so thats a no no. i think my best bet is to use the minnoe traps and just store them in one of my aquariums. thanks guys for all the advice! i will let you know how my fishing turns out! (might be months from now)
