How to breed the buffalo head cichlid?

True. Their lack of color and a strong penchant for hiding made for selling them difficult. However once I told customers about the fish and its personality, it sold itself.

That really is the shame in it, because if you watch the daily meanderings of an established buffalohead, meaning not a stressed out one in a tank of 20 of them in a LFS, they are very comical and endearing fish with lots of interesting habits, especially if it is a pair
 
Yeah, i'v got one big male and two small females. The females are very active but they swim around just with every other fish. But the male acts kind of lazy just now, he has a new territory everyday and just defends it all day, kind of pointless to be honest. i do love it but ;)
