so one of my mom's guppies just dropped all her babies. what should I do with them? I don't want to raise anymore. I can easily feed them to my two male bettas, juvenile GT, or my two paradise fish, but my mom thinks it's cruel even though I would either euthanize them first or drop them right next to the fish I know will eat. My mom actually shouted at me for trying to put one of the fry in with my juvenile GT. I did sneak one to the GT though, she slurped the lil guy up with lightning speed. My lfs and local petco won't accept any guppy fry, so I'll have to get rid of them myself. I've already asked around and posted a few FB ads and nobody wants them.

Should I just keep on sneaking them to my other fish or is there another way?

I guess this depends on who’s fish the guppies are. If they are supposed to be yours, then have a talk with your mom. If they are hers I could see why she’s upset. Lol.

Getting eaten by a GT is probably a kinder and less painful death than any method of euthanasia you might choose.

Sneak them all to your other fish and tell your mom they just died.

It's the circle of life, born live then die. Every organism goes through it so I don't see why speeding up the process is bad. We raise animals strictly for our own consumption. We raise them to kill them, they serve no other purpose. Tell your mother to think about that. Maybe after thinking about it she will view life in a not so serious manner and be "ok" with you speeding up the process with those guppies.
If she's not up for that then simple strip the tank of all decorations for a few hours or so and they should be gone. If you really want to guarentee that there won't be any left don't feed the tank for a few days and if any are left then strip the tank for an hour when she's not there. If there are ANY left after that then I will eat my fedora and post the video here.

The only reason to have a female guppy is for her to make babies. Go to the root of the problem and get rid of the female. That won`t solve your current problem but will stop it from getting bigger.

There may be an aquarium club or society in your area, that has auctions and swap meets.
That's what i would do with all my excess fry, or pairs that had spawned many times in my tanks.
I'd sometimes bring 5 bags of fry, with 10 in a bag.
This would make room for something else that randomly came up at the auctions, something I hadn't tried yet.
And every so often at the auctions, I'd almost break even.

Add a bigger fish :)
