Ive started putting a mirror near my tank 20 - 30 minutes a day and my midas has become more active and playing with stones, digging bigger pits and whatnot and his nuchal hump has grown to what I think is probably at or near his max potential size for his age.
So I believe its true. but you can't get it bigger than its genetics allow.
I think this thread has run its course. Overall, genetic is the 1st priority into kok growth. Clean water and great variety of food is next. It is also claimed a lot by the experts that high pH 7.8+ helps kok growth. Therefore they use crush corals or dead corals for this.
