I bought a tank of Craigslist and it was posted as a 90g. However I'm not so sure. It measure 48 inches in length, 18 wide... but how do you measure height. Is it the overall height... just the glass.... halfway between trim...?

half way between the rims, this is the actual amount of water that will be in the tank.

48X18X22.... odd size

the process isn't exactly standardized with manufacturers, some use total height but internal dimensions are the same. Definitely taller than a 75g

I always measure the complete height of the tank including the trim. Most tanks dont hold the exact amount of water as they are advertised as .But its usually pretty close within a gallon or so.
