I would say your turtle is close to recovery, as I can see new growth on the shell without the red spots. May be time to halt the baytril and continue with the betadine. I think the litle guy is going to make it :)

how can you tell there is new growth?
thanks for all your help!:) i really Love my little guy. I try my best to keep him happy and healthy. when you said that he can make it, i almost started to tear up. I hope he does well.

Just use a normal varied diet. Im seeing new growth without red spots, starting in the sutures of the turt plastron. Make shure you have a good basking spot with a good basking lamp and a uv lamp. Avoid gammarus.

What are his tank substrate and basking surfaces now? The plastron almost looks irritated, as if the bottom or basking spot are too rough.

Gammarus are freshwater shrimp, not sure if they have a common name. I actually think they're something else, amphipods maybe, but the common name is shrimp.

ok. my substrate is lerge gravel, and my basking area is a zoo-med basking platform. (the one most people have) i dont feed my turtles shrimp, so i wont need to worry about that.
i dont think its just irritation because he was not active and wasnt eating. im sure it is something like infection.
