Probly easier to just buy one. They're only a few bucks.

i would but they are all one size and i want one thats thicker so that i can fill/drain the tank faster

or could i just use a regular python one with a thicker hose what kind of adapter would i need?

I'm confused. why can you not gravity drain the tank?
And the valved PVC DIY tank refill adapters are awesome.

i think i'll just do this
btw do i have to glue the pvc together or will there still be a siphon if i dont use any?

It will work without glue but idk why you wouldn't want it sealed.
I use it to fill the tank so it's pressurized when the valve is closed.

Actually, it should be glued. Air is about 1000 times less dense than water. If it can leak one drop of water out, it can leak 1000 "drops" of air in. Secondly, the glue keeps it together. Friction will hold it for a while, but when it comes apart on you, it will be at the worst possible time.

Glue is cheap and it is easy to use.

Food for thought:
I've flooded nearly a hundred gallons of water onto the floor on several occasions. I'm not married, so forgiveness comes easy. For a 16yo, one gallon on the floor can end your hobby.
