good luck getting alot of fruit flys lol

If you read through the article, there is actually a nectar supplement that is used for baby's that mixed with honey and water provides them with a complete diet. Guy said he raised like 3-4 generations of them.

i was just going by when humming birds would fly in the shed they would keep trying to fly up and not out the door so we would catch it and trying to make it as less stressful as possible but they still died :(

it is funny to think that they are better compared personality wise to a cat than a bird. There is one here at work that when I go out for a smoke break joins me every day. he just keeps getting closer and closer. The guy in the link said that he had wild ones sitting on his finger while at the feeders! That's crazy.

a humming bird moth might be a better option since hummingbirds are illegal to own

I know what a hummingbird moth is, but I do not think it has quite the intelligence and interaction that a hummingbird would have. This is why i said, not that they are not neat looking in their own right....but not fun to own as a pet. Besides, this was all hypothetical anyway.

i think humming birds would be really cool to own, but don't they migrate really far in the winter? and i've always heard it referred to as a hummingbird fly, i don't think its very moth-like
