This will be my first time purchasing an Hydor ETH 300W inline heater. Would one Hydor ETH inline heater 300w be enough to keep a 150g 5'x2'x2' with snug closed top steady at 80F? what are the good and bad of this Heater? I planned to run this on my Eheim 2028 Pro II with full media.

Is the Rena Smart Heaters a better option?

Should be plenty. There really is nothing bad about this heater. I run 2 on my 180,but could get by with one.

I have 2 on my 125 and love them.

i love these heaters. one of the best heaters ever made imo. it will be perfect for your setup. good choice.

Excellent heater, best that I have. I am using two on my 150 gallon, but one would do it easily. I just like having back up ;)

I would have to say one of the greatest heaters I have ever owned. I am running one on my 125 and one on my 90 and the temp is always right on.

I had a 300 watt version running on my 2028 on a 110 and I kept the temp at 82 no problems at all,It is now running on a 60 holding tank until my new tank arrives and still keeps the temp bang on what you set.It does not affect the flow rate to much of the 2028 or not that I have noticed.
