I was wondering what the growth rate on these guys are? Seems to be doing very well on a variety of frozen foods/pellets but not much growth.

Im looking for the thread and will update once I find, but a user on planetcatfish has a 10-12 year old thread recording the growth of luteus fry. If I recall right is was extremely slow, like 8 inches in 10 years.

Thank you for the replies, and please share the thread when you do stumble on it again. I wanted to see if my lil guy needs an upgrade soon but ill start looking now anyways haha

It grew from 1.9 inches to 7.4 inches in 2 years 2 months is pretty fast. im very excited now to see mine grow and hopefully fully morph. I appreciate you taking the time and finding the thread so little information on plecos and corydoras out there.

would you recommend any more pleco tankmates? i was thinking about adding a few more plecos eventually around my luteus's size, however i've seen some people who have face aggression amongst plecos.

I'd add more, I've always had a big mix of plecs with no issues, the odd spat but nothing nasty

I keep my plecos species only with intent to breed, but ive seen luteus kept with a ton of various fish.
