Salt and heat should be fine. If you’re worried about the cat, then use Ridich Plus or Hikari IchX as they are milder and safe on scaleless fish. They use a different formulation for malachite green which is less harsh

I've successfully treated my American cichlids (including an Oscar) using salt treatment before. I did not raise the temp. The tank was at 80f. I have not kept suncats before but I did have a Pictus cat in with the cichlids and he did fine. Good luck!

it is pretty hard to see just because theres not a lot of ich, but for now i only see it on the pectoral fins and on the tails, although its hard to see in the photos. the ich is on both fish, even though the photos only show the tigers ich2 ICH.PNG 3ICh.PNG ICH.PNG

Yeah I see it. Man just keep that water changed everyday, hopefully they pull through. I've learned my lesson about moving small fish around a lot, I lost a couple of really good looking green terrors due to not quarantining long enough and moving them around, stresses them out bad. Oscars seem even worse cause they do the sulking at the bottom of the tank.

Hi I use Seachem Paraguard dosing for 7 days and always cures my ich.

*Canadian fish keepers*
They have banned fish medicine for canadians (unsure if just Ontario or all of canada) and now Bigals and many other fish stores will no longer sell fish medications such as Seachem Paraguard. Amazon is currently still selling it and I highly suggest you pick up a large quantity before it disappears. New law here is you need a prescription from a vet to get the medicine for your fish.
