I use to hate dicing shrimp when it thaws out cause it was hard to cut from it slipping all over the place.

I find it much easier to dice up the shrimp while it is frozen. I cut each section like I was carving a prime rib then cut it length wise and then crowss cut those pieces. I end up with frozen bite size shrimp cubes that are frozen and my fish love it.

As for the shell, after you cut these pieces in cubes, they just peel away.

Thanks. This wasn't a teach me how to feed my dats thread but thanks for the suggestions. I still have to dice them up for my other fish.
Btw those were finger size and they get talapia along with pellets too.

Rookie!!! j/k You could try buy $5 of black worms and let them eat for a week to get bigger then you'll have to dice less.

Aren't those still too big for these dats? I don't use those anymore cuz my bichirs were not big fan of those. Now they eat pellets which is even easier for me. Bro, that plate in your avatar looks good. If you open a restaurant, let me know.

I pick out the really small ones, lol. My Dats like them, but they love their frozen bloodworms. Next, I got to try to get them on pellets. Thanks for the compliment on my dish. I'll definitely let you know when I open my restaurant.

Albertson's sells 5 oz. bags of the small shrimp for $1.00 no cutting needed and it's a little over $3.00 a lb.
