funny we went to get the two tanks for another INDY STYLE DIY guy and pharaoh. I took home a free Neolamprologus cylindricus. Not a bad trip

Well I also picked up the new pump that day and today I plumped the two pumps into the the showroom setup. It works great. I added a quietone 4000. This really kicked the turnover up with both pumps running. Over course 6 DIY overflows easily keep up with the water! I was not terribly worried about the turnover, but wanted it a bit higher for when I get the tropheus added!
I'm having great luck with the Quiet1's.
One thing I found out when cleaning the impeller, remove the housing by turning it counter clockwise just until it clears the bosses, then pull it STRAIGHT off. Any side pressure will snap the ceramic impeller shaft. I ran one of my 4000's a year with the shaft broken in two, and it never missed a beat. I finally replaced it and it's still goin strong.

4000s are alright. 9000s are terrible.

I know I am using the one you gave me upstairs... The shaft is broke on it. but it is still running great!!!!!!!! The new one is working well and super quiet. I am happy with it right now. THe two pump is nice, in case one goes I can put the single pump piece back on and be fine...

This post rocks! It might be off topic, but I MUST know more about this odd looking and badass sliding WIDE radial arm saw. Brand, etc....

Thanks.

I can't tell you the brand name of the saw off the top of my head, but I do know that that thing is at least 30 years old. Great saw. All you ever have to do is lube by hitting it with some WD-40. I wouldn't even know where to look to buy one. I'll see if I can dig up some more info on it for ya.

I'm waiting. What kind of deals can I get. Everyone should know by now that I'm always looking.

Have you decided to give me that 125 yet?
