Thanks to members here for helping my figure out filtration, I’m getting ready to order my 10’x4’ tank, my next thing to figure out is heating. This tank will be filtered with Ultima ii filters instead of a sump, I’m looking for an inline heater recommendation that can be put in the filtration PVC plumping piping line. Thanks all!

I used a coolant heater from tractor supply. I had it tied indo the full siphon drain. Used heavy duty coolant hose with clamps to tie it in. To control it, i used an inkbird thermostat. It worked well and thats probably the same route im going again with my 500 gallon. One thing i found with those controllers and not sure if they changed it up is i put the probe in a small bag, i had 2 that went bad being submerged for whatever reason.

How many of these would I need for 750 gallons?

The only pic i have of the plumbing on that tank. I used 2 ferncos, this was just before i added it and had the pipe cut for it. Just make sure its on a siphon that stays full of water because they will get hot and melt the fernco. I had an idiot moment and had it in the back up drain in my bean animal so it wasnt full of water and it melted them pretty good. Swapped it to the siphon and ran for quite a few years with no issues.
