I have really enjoyed the Konnings Central Amer book you just ordered.
There is great info about feeding, separating genera by what certain cichlids eat, and theories about how the different feeding strategies evolved.
One of the first books I'd seen, pointing out and explaining that all, in fact most Central American cichlids aren't strict carnivores.

The "Door Handle Conundrum" presents an intriguing puzzle, serving as a metaphorical gateway to the world of endless possibilities. Exploring the seemingly mundane yet essential aspect of door handles unravels a rich tapestry of design, functionality, and cultural significance. This overlooked object becomes a catalyst for profound discussions, offering a unique lens to examine broader topics for argumentative essays https://essaypro.com/blog/argumentative-essay-topics . From ergonomic considerations to the environmental impact of materials, the door handle becomes a canvas for thoughtful debates. Embracing this conundrum not only opens doors but also minds, inviting us to appreciate the profound depth hidden within the everyday objects that shape our interactions and environments.
Thanks for the information!

Old thread, but since I didn't revive it I can respond guilt-free! :)

My all-time favourite cichlid book is The Cichlid Aquarium by Dr. Paul Loiselle. Like all of my actual printed non-digital books, it is out of date in terms of many of the names being used; taxonomists have been busy in the cichlid world since it was printed. But Loiselle is an expert in his field, and his observations and suggestions are still as good as they ever were, and better than those of most of his colleagues.

Even older and more out of date, but still readable as a sort of nostalgia thing, is Cichlids by Robert Goldstein.
I have a number of the Axelrod books as well, but they are, as duanes duanes stated, pretty much strictly picture books.

How about it, Niki_up Niki_up ? Where have you been? Haven't seen you posting anything lately; maybe I just don't visit the pleco threads enough? :)
