i noticed my elephant nose swiming in a upward position just now and a few minutes ago he was laying sideways on the bottom.
is there anything i can do to help him out?
no signs of ich or nothing

thanks

ive had him for about 4 months. no problems with anybody else or him hes just started acting strange just now. should i do a water change?

tank mates would be clownloaches 2 angles 2 featherfin cats. and a serverum.
last w/c was about 2 weeks ago.. well friday will mark the 2 week mark

Well what are your nitrates at? And ammonia, nitrite, ph? I own an elephant nose, they are extremely sensitive to water quality.

If not the water parameters, it could be the Featherfins. Featherfins will often suck on the slimecoat of slower moving fish until they succumb to infection or stress. I experienced this with a Featherfin and a Ghostknife. I have read other reports about Featherfins doing this. That's why I asked about your other tankmates. Do you notice any discolored spots or marks of your Elephant Nose?

no i havent. well guys hes gone :( it appears his scales were falling off litterally? when i pulled him out the tank never seen nothin like it
