Just got 5 new Clowns for my Brand new 70g community tank, and Don't worry, I used instant bacterial and I checked the water and everything is fine. I've had them for nearly 2 days now, They were quite shy at first, Hiding and such but today they seem very active. Swimming around the tank in groups, And they were swimming up and down the glass wall, Not jumping. They sometimes lay on top of each other but I figure this is normal loach behavior? Can anyone tell whether or not it's normal? A quick response would be most appreciated!

Definitely normal. Wait until they lay down sideways to sleep lol. Great, entertaining fish, just make sure you have a lid.

I know, They can be jumpers when stressed, My poor Pakistani loach that I had last year jumped out of his tank during a water change :( Poor Oscar...
Yeah, I've seen them sleeping sideways. I LOVE them, My favorite fish right now. :)

Definitely normal...for a clown loach. Same with playing dead and swimming upside down against the bottom of floating logs, doing flips, and many other things that you question at first.

As everybody said it is completely normal. Some of mines sleep completly upside down lol. One of them likes to sleep wedged inbetween the front glass and big branch of driftwood... upsidedown. Another one likes to sleep stuck to the filter intake... Such weird and lazy fish but I love em!
