Noticed mating behavior the other night. Wondering if the male is trying to breed an already pregnant female. She does look extra plump to me

Yes: She's pregnant.
No: She's probably not pregnant.
Yea was in with many males at LFS and 2 males in my cycling tank. When she gives birth what should I do? Will they survive or be eaten? Would I have to move them to another tank?
All livebearer females are usually pregnant all the time as males constantly breed with them and the females can and do store the sperm from previous matings.
She does not look overly gravid at the moment. She’ll get way bigger. They’ll most likely eat the fry if they give birth in a community tank. You can place her in a floating breeder box to collect the fry when she’s gravid enough to give birth

Maybe the colors of the platy make it more difficult to see.
When many livebearers are gravid, there is a dark spot that begins to show. near the base of tje tail, where you see the fry are developing .
When less gravid its hader to see developoing fry (below)
