Been almost 1 year up and running and not 1 single hiccup. I turned the heater off, stays a good 77 in the winter. Regular 1 week water changes you can see a little discolored water in the backwash. Push it to 2 weeks and there is a big difference in debri coming out. In my setup it seems 2.5 weeks is the max you can go before pressure rises and the flow goes almost to nil, psi on tank was, if I remember, 8psi at tha time. Backwash and rinse and all returned to normal. I finally got around today to drilling a hole in the floor and hooked up the backwash hose through the crawlspace to the outside. The true laziness, flip a valve and drain, open 2 valves fill and done. I dont know why flickr is showing a X on some photos, they are still there......
