Mine don't move slowly most of the time, but they do move with a bizarre motion. Peter mentioned they're like bettas in that regard and I think that's pretty accurate. Even though they're not very large, mine are quite boisterous and continually attack larger tankmates like Bolivian rams. They can be nasty little fish. Mine still show the drab brown juvenile coloration and I'm starting to wonder if that will ever change.

Just curious, what are your water parameters and tank temp?

They do move sort of like a betta. So far they haven't been nasty to any of their tank mates but I'm sure that could change quickly! My tank params are ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrates 5, ph 7.2, temp ranges between 72-80 depending on the temp of the room since I'm not using a heater on that tank. I stopped using one when it got warm out because the tank was getting too hot
