Jack dempsey eye ripped out

So my jaguar cichlid attacked my jack dempsey, now my jacks eye is hanging out, part of his face is cut up, some of his tail fin missing... I added salt, raised the temp, the jack seems ok well as good as u can be for getting ur butt kicked, jack ate a little bit do I just wait now n see if itll live?

Yes hes still in my main tank, my jag is out, and yes I put a jd with my jag as it was this site that someone suggested as a tankmate when I asked... Anyway how about some advice to help this fish thanks

id sedate it remove the drooping eye cuz any of the nerves or anything just is for the eyesight so it shouldnt harm him/her then just let it heal in its own tank...nice job with gettin a one eyed fish.
 
That looks more than just an eye popped out.
I'm afraid I would have to end its misery. That fish is tore up.
Good luck treating it, Melafix, Pimafix and separate from the rest of the fish.
 
Trim the excess off and give him time. I had a bullhead get an eyeball plucked when he was about 1.5 inches. He is now over 6 inches and healthy as can be. As long as it was just the eye and it doesn't get infected he could still have a decent chance for survival.
