I am working on getting a 125g put together and cycled with the hopes of getting at least 2 jaguar catfish. Any other suggestions for tank mates?

I've always liked the idea of doing jaguar catfish with some of the larger ageneiosus cats. And possible some of the midsize doradids.

Do a setup with lots of driftwood and surface cover to bring the cats out more.

By the way....where are u getting the Jaguars from? Like convict said.....haven't seen around for a long time. One was being sold by a member here months ago....out of hobby sale I think.....I'm sure it went fast.

Once in a while a lfs store here in MD will get one in and I am also trying to go through a private seller. A friend of mine has two now and they look awesome! I need to reseal the 125 so it may take a little bit since I just had ankle surgery this week. I will def post pics once it's up a running. I wonder if I could do a while Apisto tank with the jags on the bottom....

Why not get a group, 5-7+? And make sure they are visible - that'd be a unique tank.

I would love to have an all Jag tank! Maybe I could be the second person to ever breed them in captivity :)

With patience and effort, I'm sure one can source them. The challenge is to see them because they are fanatical hiders and light-haters. It could be done this way among others: jags 1.jpg jags 2.jpg jags 3.jpg

Nice pick up!
