Jaguar catfish

You'll need some active tank mates that won't compete with the jags for hiding space. Because Jaguars other than being awesome looking fish, they are boring as hell.

Right, and that is if they sat in the open but they don't, which makes it even worse. So one needs to see them and to have some movement in the tank, add tank mates but I wonder what kind of dynamics would a125 gal have with 6-12 jags in it, dim, with lots of wood but thin wood, rather sticks, so the jags could not hide too much.

One of our local LFS (Aquarium and Reef Center in Cape Coral) had two 6"-ers in a 55 gal with other fish. I was much surprised to see them swim around with the light on and hiding spots available and no competition. I've been to that store several times over several months and they would swim around. Hide a bit, then swim again, then hide again. IDK what made them do it.
