A male managuense can easily hit 24 iches (60 cms,) if taken care of properly.
So in order for the indvidual to turn around comfortably, the width of the tank should be more than that.
The length 3 to 4 times that.
My male easily hit 16 " (40cms) in less than 2 years.

Well, there you go trying to insert reality into one of these discussions again; that's never a popular stance. Stop being so negative!
As long as you put plenty of thought into directional orientation...i.e. deciding ahead of time which side you want your fish facing all the time, and then carefully putting it into the tank so that the "good" side is facing towards the front...all these suggestions about 55 and 75 gallon tanks for adult managuense seem perfectly reasonable. Turning around is highly overrated.
