Hi fish nerd 84
Nice little jar you've got there , your choice of tankmates will probably run into problems down the line bristlenoses don't get big enough not to be a snack for a 2ft jardini which is what you'll end up with in the next 18-24 months , as for the rest it all depends on your jardinis temperament but 95% of them are very aggressive and will dominate any tank with any tankmates or die trying lol the clowns should be OK in the big scheme of things but the tinfoils will definitely be a gamble if they can take the stress and work together as a shoal they may live for years with the jar ,
OR .......... you'll come home one day to find them all dead and your jar swimming around looking pleased with himself lol.
Your also going to struggle as he grows for space in the 150 ideally you need a 180 or bigger to house them comfortably for life as they do hit 2ft within 2 year or so.
Are you thinking of upgrading in the future ?
Anyway thanks enough of me rambling jardini talk , nice to meet you welcome to the jarmy army fish nerd 84 :)

Thanks for the kind word of advice this is my first jar, so all is welcome. i do plan to upgrade in the future i figured this tank would be able to hold one for some time but if its not big enough i can most surely upgrade. The dimensions of the 150 are 4'x2'x30" i am keeping my fingers crossed i have a jar thats in that 5% of nice ones range hahaha but if not i am prepared for a solo tank cause the jar is just a beast.... i like fish but i love my jar on a different level. The longfin bristlenose can be moved if thinking get crazy he is a true beast himself at 8inch measured. the largest one i have seen in person... funny story the jardini actually got wacked by the bristlenose his first day in the tank when he tried to pick up some food that was next to him,the bristlenose freaked and put out his cheek bristles and knocked scales off the jar. Evz jardini Evz jardini i have read your threads and seen pictures of your new and old jar that big one you lost was a true beast I hope mine can be one day

Glad you enjoyed reading my threads :) hope that it's helped you out with ideas and also helps you learn from some of my costly mistakes saves you making the same or similar ones lol ;)
Tankmates with jardini are always a gamble tbh no matter what jar it is they pretty much all rain terror in there own way , it's finding tankmates that can tolerate the stress or get ignored buy your jar (that's the tricky part) I've found docile catfish and Birchirs have worked well with all three of the jardini I've owned as they spend most of there time out of the jardini tank space, forget about cichlid route it pretty much all ends in death or shredded fish.you could get lucky and find one that can tuff it out like my male jag that was in with my first jar but you'll lose plenty of nice fish trying this lol
As for tank size you'll be good with that setup for a year but eventually your jars going to need more swimming space so 6ft long min is best , ideally 6x2x30"wide is better if your upgrading as the 30" wide gives a better turning circle for the fish (I couldn't fit this size in my house so had to go 6x2x2). I've had a jar in a 4x2x2 then a 5x2x30" but realistically I wish I'd just got the 180 straight away save all the messing around changing and upgrading over the years.
What are you feeding yours currently ?

I tried to get him to eat hikari jumbo carnisticks but he has only bit them once before spitting and never looking at them again ... for now he eats fresh deshelled shrimp that i cut into pieces.

Stuff the shrimp pieces with pellets gradually adding more and more to get him used to the taste and texture , my latest is in the spitting stage if offered without shrimp but it'll happen eventually
