Asian arowanas will work. They are banned in the USA. Are you in the USA? Silver arowanas will work. So will the south american blue/black arowanas. Just no jardinis because jardinis are extremely aggressive.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the 125 would only be temporary for around 6 months before they move onto the pond. It's not to grow them out completely. My bad for the misunderstanding
I actually stay in the Philippines. I was considering Asians, particularly the Malaysian green. I was considering silvers as well but think they may grow too large even for the pond. Thanks so much for the reply

. Just make sure you obtain them legally, because they are an endangered species .
Nice. I support you. Everything Choconut74 said is on point and your project is do-able. Make sure you keep up on the filtration and WC!!! That is still a lot of inhabitants and waste in a 900 gallon pond. When you get them send us some pics. I love asian aro's and frt's. Dream aquarium/pond inhabitants for me.

Your gonna have to get someone else's advice on that one. I hear they are more docile and can be kept in groups. Your gonna need as big as a pond as possible. I have a pond near 1500 gallons plus (I'm sure that's the smallest it possibly could be). I don't know if I would put more than just the three, but that's just me. I'd be pretty happy with a really nice Asian aro and the FRT. Maybe throw in some big silver dollars and clowns too. Or even a few rays! Lol. I'm dreaming now. Let's get back on track... In a huge pond... Even groups of jars and leis can be kept together. I am nowhere near knowledgable on Asian aros... I live in Hawaii...

Ahhhh okay okay I understand. Yeah definitely, I agree with the minimalist approach and appreciating a small amount of species. I'd hate to overcrowd. I'll look into asian arowanas and update you with any news concerning the choice of fish or the construction of the pond. Thank you so much again for all the help.
